2005-2006 Irrumudi

During the 2005-2006 Irrumudi festival period, Arul Thiru AMMA instructed a Melbourne youth to institute a Mandram / Adhiparasakthi Worship Centre during a normal Paatha Poojai, specifically to increase the youth’s involvement in the pathway of spirituality. Arul Thiru AMMA’s exact words were,

- signifying the involvement of youth in spirituality is to be encouraged.

Inauguration Poojai

With Arul Thiru AMMA’s guidance, the Adhiparasakthi Mandram, Melbourne Australia [A.M.M.A] commenced its very first conduction of prayers on the 3rd of March, 2006 at the Chandler Secondary College hall. This date was not limited to being an auspicious one for the youth of Melbourne, but moreover signified Arul Thiru AMMA’s 66th Incarnation year of having entered our Kali Yuga, and was being celebrated by Sakthis of the Melmaruvathur Omsakthi Movement from around the globe.

Regular Poojas

Followed by our first Pooja, regular prayers were conducted one Friday a month at the Southern Community Centre in years 2006 and 2007. Soon after, Arul Thiru AMMA instructed the youth to conduct Her prayers on Sundays. From 21st of January 2008, our prayers were held on every third Sunday of the month.

In September 2010, when asked if we should commence weekly poojas, Arul thiru AMMA knowing HER children's spiritual thirst kindly stated that we are doing well, and to do so by saying,

With Arul Thiru AMMA’s blessings, weekly Poojas commenced from the 9th of January 2011 onwards at the Southern Community Centre.

Major Festivals

Our first major festival celebration was Arul Thiru AMMA’s 67th Incarnation day. With the initiation and request by the youth from our mandram this festival was collaboratively celebrated with existing Mandrams in Melbourne and was held on the 3rd of March 2007 at the Southern Community Centre. The Pooja started with Vazhipaadu, Paatha Pooja, followed by Vizhaku Pooja, birthday cake cutting and Annathaanam.

Following this, each festival celebrated at Melmaruvathur including Chithira Pournami, Adipooram and Navaraathiri were observed in Melbourne in accordance with Arul Thiru AMMA’s instructions for the benefit of the country and its people. On the 14th of January 2009, Arul Thiru AMMA also bestowed us with the blessings to celebrate Thai poosam Jothi celebrations in Melbourne.

Pournami Thiru Vizhaku Poojai With Chakkaram

During the 2007-2008 Irumudi festival period, Arul Thiru AMMA gifted us with blessings to commence monthly Thiru Vizhaku Poojai. Arul Thiru AMMA specifically stated to draw different Chakkarams each month as seen and done in Melmaruvathur Siththar Peetam, to use only new Omsakthi Vizhaku from Siththar Peetam on the Chakkaram and for all Sakthis partaking in the Thiru Vizhaku Poojai to be wearing red cotton attire by pointing at HER own red Veshti / Dhoti and to be extremely careful at all times with fire when conducting Thiru Vizhaku Poojai.

Most important and radical / revolutionary instruction by Arul Thiru AMMA was HER direction to conduct these Pournami Thiru Vizhaku Poojas on the Sunday following a full moon day should it occur on a day other than a Sunday. One can only recollect the story of Thiru Abirami Pattar in the late 18th century (In the Manthira Nool under Sakthi Vazhipaadu Verse 25 this story from yore is specified).

With Arul Thiru AMMA’s guidance, our first monthly Thiru Vizhaku poojai commenced following our 2008 Chithira Pournami festival.

Spiritual Workshops

On the 14th of February 2008, we put together our very first quarterly workshop. The purpose of these workshops was to provide the youth, AMMA devotees and the public with more information about: Arul Thiru AMMA Vazhipaadu Procedures and Personal spiritual experiences of devotees These workshops to date have included guest speakers, spiritual videos, iinformative slide shows, interactive games and presentations by the youth.

Arul Thiru Amma's Spirituality on the World Wide Web

On the 29th of June 2007, a Youtube channel was started to display an array of videos related to the Melmaruvathur Adhiparasakthi Spiritual movement globally.

On 9th of December 2007, we embarked on taking Arul Thiru AMMA’s spiritual teachings to the social network with our Facebook Group ‘Melmaruvathur Arulmigu Athiparasakthi Youths’ and the Facebook Page ‘Melmaruvathur Arulmigu Athiparasakthi Youth Wing’. This platform has allowed for Sakthis across the globe to share photos, videos related to Arul Thiru AMMA, ask and obtain information / clarifications about Omsakthi Spiritual Movement, share Arul Thiru AMMA’s Divine Oracles, publish spiritual experiences, poems, essays and artwork related to Arul Thiru AMMA and also give regular updates on significant events happening in Melmaruvathur Siththar Peetam, Sakthi peetams and innumerous Mandrams spread all over the globe.

Community Services

In March 2008, we engaged in our first community service project by organising a blood drive followed by tree plantation in August 2008, second blood drive in January 2009 and ‘Clean up Australia day’ in March 2009.

In May 2009 Arul Thiru AMMA instructed us to conduct social services inline with every major festival celebrated by our Mandram. With HER blessings, we have been partaking in annual blood donations, tree plantations and new projects involving increasing penguin habitats in Phillip Island.

Arul Thiru AMMA’s blessings were made apparent during our recent tree plantation activity in August 2010. There was heavy rain throughout the day except during the three to four hours we were planting trees. With such a large group present 2500 plus trees were planted collectively at our site.

Kudumba Nala Velvi / Yagna for Family Welfare

On the 11th of May 2008, our mandram conducted its first Kudumba Nala Velvi / Yagna at a Mandram Sakthi's home. To date our Mandram, with Arul Thiru AMMA overseeing us, have conducted a total of 4 Kudumba Nala Velvi - 3 of them being in the year 2010.
